A dating profile, but slower

Hi, I’m Donald.

Single and open to something real.

The version that does not fit in a bio

What I try to bring into a relationship.

I would rather explain the qualities through real choices and complete thoughts than list flattering adjectives and ask someone to take my word for them.

01

Respect

Not just politeness. I mean taking another person seriously, protecting their dignity, listening carefully, and refusing to use closeness as permission to become careless.

02

Partnership

I am not looking for someone to orbit my life. I want two complete people who can be honest about their responsibilities and still build something shared.

03

Effort

When something matters to me, I tend to invest deeply. That can mean persistence, problem-solving, long conversations, and occasionally needing a reminder that rest also counts.

04

Curiosity

I like understanding how people think, what shaped them, what they are still becoming, and what ordinary life looks like when nobody is performing for an audience.

Known features and known bugs

I am not pretending to arrive without complexity.

  • I can work too long when a project matters and sometimes need to remember that presence cannot be scheduled after everything else is finished.
  • I am direct. That can make communication clearer, although the delivery occasionally benefits from more softness than my first draft provides.
  • I build systems for everything. A simple question may become a framework, a spreadsheet, a website, or all three.
  • My life is already full. A relationship would need to become part of a real family life—not an escape from one.

Read the profile in chapters

The posts are the actual profile.

Qualities, values, routines, limitations, hopes, and everyday life deserve more than a swipe-card sentence. This collection will keep expanding as I write the parts that matter.
